Think full grain leathers from Europe's best tanneries and Lactae Hevea soles—made from all-natural rubber, the cushy soles offer a great balance of comfort and durability. We recently got a chance to try on the range of LUCA footwear and these were our three favorites.
Are they boots? Are they sneakers? Well, when we slipped into these supple suede chukkas, the answer became clear: They're a little bit of both. Handcrafted in Mexico, this easy slip-on is fully lined with glove-like soft leather, allowing for easy wear with or without socks. The suede has an easy worn-in feeling fresh from the box and the crepe rubber sole provides cushioned traction on any surface. We'll be wearing these to work with pleated trousers and on the weekend with shorts.

These are the very definition of a luxury sneaker. They have an understated elegance and a streamlined silhouette that adapts to whatever you pair them with. That continental cool comes from how it's made: Hand-stitched by craftsmen in Portugal from full grain leathers sourced from Italy's best tanneries, it's finished with premium Lactae Hevea soles harvested from trees in the south of France. Most minimalist sneakers like this feel a little stiff and flat, but these cradle your feet like proper trainers. But that'll be our secret.
