What We’re Wearing
Long Summer Weekends
An outfit for Independence Day and beyond
We’re officially now in the season of pool parties, backyard barbecues, music festivals and summer Fridays. The Fourth of July is quickly approaching—the first of hopefully many long summer weekends. It's not too early to think about what you will be doing for those three restful days.
Whether you're just meeting up with friends or packing for extended weekend excursions, you never want to be unprepared. Don't leave home without a pair of swim shorts, an oversized beach towel and water-resistant sunscreen (it's awful getting that in your eyes and having to constantly reapply, so invest in a good one.) You might not think you need a jacket, but a lightweight cream-colored denim trucker will be great to layer for evening bonfires. And some suede trainers give your laid-back look a bit of sophistication. Enjoy the extra day off from the work week, take a few obligatory Instagram pics, and rest assured you'll look and feel great while doing it.
