What We’re Wearing
End of Summer
It’s shorts and hoodie season. Embrace it.
A lot of pools got drained this past weekend, marking the unofficial end of summer. It may be winding down, but we're still holding on a little bit longer—and so are the warmer temperatures. We'll have plenty of time to pull out all our jackets, but from now until then, there's a sweet spot that requires a winning combination of shorts and hoodies. Mornings and evenings are chilly, and in the middle of the day, it gets hot—this is where light layering comes in handy.
A mid-weight pullover sweatshirt works well for all your weekend bonfires and will remain one of your favorite pieces to layer come Fall and Winter. This one from Flint and Tinder is a perfect weight, and the black colorway is super versatile—you never have to think twice about what to pair with it. And despite the risk of a slight chill in the air, a great tech short still works. And remember our “Golden Rule” with all shorts: The inseam should always be between five to seven inches—you got to let them quads breathe before they are covered in corduroys. If you're into fragrances like I am, it's time to switch your citrus and floral scents for spicy and woody ones. This fragrance from Perfumer H strikes the perfect balance of cade and juniper, smelling leathery and smoky. The ideal moody scent for the weather that's to come.
