When’s the last time you bought yourself some shoes? Let this be your sign that it’s time. There are so many great styles dropping these days, we thought we would pull a few of our current favorites to showcase. From a waxed-cotton derby and a winter-ready moc toe to some blacked-out waffle trainers, these are the kicks our team can’t stop talking about.

Paraboot barbour paraboot chambord 1

Paraboot x Barbour Chambord derby

Seven years after their first collaboration, Barbour and Paraboot are back at it, and this time they’ve swapped materials. The British outerwear brand lent its waxed cotton to Paraboot’s Chambord, the apron-stitched Paris derby that’s been a bestseller for more than 40 years. The upper mixes brown leather with olive waxed cotton. Barbour’s classic tartan shows up on the inside, and the whole thing sits on Paraboot’s signature Norwegian-welted rubber sole. There’s even a co-branded tassel for good measure. Wear them with grey flannels, dark denim or heavy cords. If you’re feeling committed, add the matching Bedale jacket. Two very old brands, one very good shoe.

Timberland euro hiker nubuck boots 1

Timberland Euro Hiker nubuck boot

Timberland’s Euro Hiker was a fixture on city sidewalks in the ’90s, and it looks just as right today. This dark brown pair combines soft nubuck with tough canvas panels. Speed hooks sit up top, and a padded collar keeps things comfortable around the ankle. Underneath, a chunky rubber lug sole handles slush and wet leaves without complaint. It’s lighter and lower-key than the brand’s famous yellow boot, which makes it far easier to wear every day. Wear them with baggy carpenter jeans, fatigues or wide-leg cords and a fleece. At $140, it’s one of the cheapest ways to bring some trail attitude into your winter rotation.

Salomon xt 4 og gore tex

Salomon XT-4 OG GORE TEX sneaker

Salomon has been mining its archive for years now, and the XT-4 is one of the better finds. Originally built for long trail runs, it returns true to its original design, now with a GORE-TEX membrane that makes it a legitimate all-weather sneaker. You still get the one-pull Quicklace system (with a little pocket to stash it), a skeletal chassis for stability and a Mud Contagrip outsole with deep, sharp lugs. The grey graph-print colorway with silver accents keeps all that technical detail surprisingly quiet. Wear them with nylon trousers, straight-leg jeans or wool pants and a shell jacket. Rain in the forecast is no longer an excuse to wear the boring shoes.

Todd snyder red wing norway boot 1

Todd Snyder x Red Wing Norway boot

Red Wing’s moc toe needs no introduction, but the Norway Moc is something a little different. Developed with the brand’s team in Norway as a heavy-duty winter boot, it borrows from the rugged Roughneck while keeping the familiar moc-toe shape. This six-inch version is cut from Oro Legacy, Red Wing’s proprietary oil-tanned leather. It’s the same warm brown hide that made the Classic Moc a legend. It’s soft, it’s tough and it only gets better-looking with every scuff. Wear them with selvedge denim, chinos or wool trousers and a chunky knit. This is the boot you reach for once the weather actually turns.

Nike moon shoe og shoe 1

Nike Moon Shoe OG runner

Before Nike was even called Nike, Bill Bowerman was experimenting with his wife’s waffle iron. The result was the Moon Shoe, the brand’s very first running shoe. This OG version brings that early-’70s design back in a decidedly moodier colorway. The nylon upper and leather Swoosh come blacked out in anthracite, with just a flash of Safety Orange to keep things interesting. Underneath, the waffle sole is still the star. That slim, close-to-the-ground profile is exactly why old-school runners feel so current right now. Wear them with relaxed trousers, cropped denim or track pants and a chore coat. It’s about as low-key as a piece of sneaker history gets.
