Undershirts

A price and style comparison

A good undershirt is an all-season staple. Right now, it adds a layer of insulation against the damp chill and provides a soft buffer between you and scratchy wool sweaters or thick overshirts. Come spring and summer, it's your first line of defense against sweat stains. They can also be a last resort, allowing you to strip out of your top shirt when things get really hot.

Which is why you want a really good one. That doesn't always mean an expensive one, but like with so many other things, you often get what you pay for. Of course, there are many different styles to choose, but you can't go wrong with a classic, tried-and-true white crewneck. We wondered who was making the best on the market today, so we put a handful to the test to bring you the top three that are worth your time, in a range of price points.
