It's Friday ... Have a Drink
The Caipirinha
Brazil's tasty, refreshing national cocktail

The Caipirinha is often referred to as the “Brazilian Mojito,” but if we're passing opinions around, we think this national drink that features a unique sugar cane-based alcohol and lots of lime is more drinkable and refreshing, with just the right bite. According to Esquire, “Cachaça is a Brazilian liquor that usually gets lumped in with rum, but isn't rum ... the important distinction comes down to taste: Cachaça is funky, vegetal and unsubtle.”
