Lose the Break
Sid Mashburn, the old school Southern gent behind the stylish Atlanta shop, appreciates the power of an expertly-cut pair of pants. "I'm always telling guys that come into the shop, you want the least amount of break in your trousers," says Mashburn. "If you don't want to go as short as I wear 'em, fine. But the less break, the taller you're going to look, because without one, the eye doesn't stop and you just look that much leaner and taller." The dapper designer feels the same way about jackets. "Cut it a tad shorter, and you're going to notice how much easier it is to move ... it's instant energy."
