Ian Velardi, $155 (available this fall)
As fall approaches, we're seeing a healthy amount of long sleeve polos. It seems that everyone's in agreement that the shirt makes for an ideal between-season piece—cooler and more relaxed than a woven dress shirt, but a tad slicker than your everyday T-shirt. Orlebar Brown, Chrles Tyrwhitt and new American designer Ian Velardi cut theirs like a popover, with buttoned cuffs and a proper collar, while J.Crew offers a more relaxed take. Brooks Brothers crafted their button-down collar polo from soft, Italian lambswool trimmed in flannel, so it may be better come full-on fall.
