Escape the Cold with Rivay

This spring forecast calls for rugged but comfortable staples.

We introduced you to Rivay's handsome, hard-wearing basics and outerwear earlier in the fall and the brand is back with a new collection as well as a new look book. And we basically would like to live in both.

They headed down to the high desert plains of West Texas to showcase the new pieces. "We all love the desert—wide open spaces, dusty and arid," says founder Jon Ruti. "All really great elements to get people excited for spring and summer." Shot in and around the mysteriously cool art town of Marfa, it puts a nice twist on the spirit of travel in remote places.

As for the clothes, there's indigo-dyed camp shirts, rugged twill utility shirt jackets and comfortable staples like a short-sleeve sweatshirt and tailored cargos with a touch of stretch. Some of the pieces are already available on Rivay's site while others will be available in the coming months.

FYI

The Prada Marfa art installation by Elmgreen and Dragset debuted in 2005 and still sits on a lone stretch of US Highway 90.
