Endless Summer Style

Bruce Brown's seminal surf film The Endless Summer tags along with two California surfers, Robert August and Mike Hynson, as they chase the summer season around the globe from Africa to Australia, exploring exotic beaches in search of the perfect wave. Narrated by the witty and wisecracking Brown, the fun-loving and influential 1966 documentary practically invented the concept of international destination surfing and was inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically and aesthetically significant." Mike and Robert are definitely more dapper than today's beach bums—sporting trim trunks, handsome waterproof watches and even traveling in sharply-tailored suits and ties. Pieces that are sure to up your summer style game today.
