Annie Hall Style

Even though Woody Allen's legendary 1977 film took home the Academy Award for Best Picture (along with three other Oscars that year) and is widely regarded as one of the best comedies of all time, most of us are only vaguely familiar with the movie. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a watch. Allen's character, Alvy Singer, is a New York television writer who falls for an off-the-wall aspiring actress/singer played by Diane Keaton. The comedy has stood the test of time because it offers a realistic, if not sardonic, look at the complicated ups and down of a sexual relationship. And while the hapless Mr. Signer isn't exactly a style icon, there's a slew of sartorial inspiration in his comfortable wardrobe of washed cotton shirts, rumpled chinos and military jackets.
