Whether your office has a more formal dress code or you're simply looking at all the upcoming weddings on your calendar, you're probably going to have to wear a suit (at least on a few occasions) throughout the warmer months. Women's fashion can often be complicated, but when the heat hits, they luck out by throwing on a breezy, flowing dress and calling it a day. If a man is going to dress for a proper occasion, it almost always requires the multiple layers of a suit.
But here's the thing. A good looking suit will never let you down. There's no need to sweat your suit if you trade in the usual wool jacket and pants for something more seasonally appropriate. That way, you're not suffocating under heavy fabric. For spring and summer, opt for lightweight layers that you can easily wear inside and out, during the day or at night. The key to looking and feeling cool is all in the fabric—from lightweight cottons and linens to modern takes on such classics as seersucker. Here are a handful of our favorites for summer 2018.
