“
Who makes the best no-show socks? I bought some last year but those damn things always fell off my feet and bunched up inside my shoes. Any advice?”
When you live in a place like the South, with that kind of heat and humidity, going sockless loses its roguish charm and becomes something of an issue. You're right to want some socks to prevent excessive sweating or ruining your shoes. It's certainly more comfortable and easier than messing around with powders or freezing your shoes overnight. But there are a lot of options these days, so finding the right pair can be tricky. We've weeded through dozens and found the ones that are practically guaranteed to stay on your feet.
Cushy
Made by a brand known to skaters, these athletic style socks are cut higher than the others and stay on your feet even after a day of walking many city blocks.
Low Riders
Need low-cut socks for loafers? MS & Co. makes some good ones that stay put thanks to a contoured fit and rubber grippers at the base of the heel.
Lean Liners
Extremely thin, these barely-there cotton sock liners work with any shoe and a small silicone tab inside the back of the heel keeps them from shifting.
FYI
Women have more sweat glands than men. Ironically, men typically sweat twice as much.
