Epaulet's
Technical
Sport Coat

If there was ever a guy who "makes the kind of clothes he'd want to wear," it's Epaulet's Mike Kuhle. We ran into him last week and he was wearing an impressive quilted, double-breasted sport coat. Of course, we asked him where he got it. He explained that it's Epaulet's private label and was the product of a couple of meetings with a high-end Italian manufacturer of quilted sport coats, and it's pretty much Kuhle's dream jacket. Made from Valtherm "White Bear" Technical Wool, a cloth that offers breathability, insulation and a high-level of water resistance, it also fits like a dream. It's a major investment of course, but with formal details like a peaked lapel, 6 x 2 button configuration and double vents, it just might be the only sport coat you need this season.

Styling Tip

This is one of those pieces that would dress down an ensemble of a cutaway collar shirt, grey flannel trousers and tassel loafers, while dressing up a pair of washed jeans, a worn-in oxford shirt, and classic, subtle sneakers like some Jack Purcells.
