Going sockless in the summer is pretty much a necessity. And lately, my drug store powder just wasn't cutting it. When I stopped into Hickoree's Floor Two this weekend, I noticed some brand new grooming gear from a company called Cold Spring Apothecary. Their foot powder smelled awesome, a little bit grassier on the nose than baby powder, with a hint of that medicinal smell that lets you know the stuff will work. Hickoree's co-owner Emil Corsillo was around to tell me a little bit about the brand. The line is made in small batches upstate in Cold Spring, NY, and is all natural, containing no parabens, talcs or phthalates. What's that mean in English? Well, it smells great and is chock full of real ingredients you can pronounce. That's a simple enough explanation for me.
