The Rugged Jacket That Makes Any Man Look Badass

Like many silhouettes in modern menswear, the field jacket got its start in the military. Standard issue to American soldiers in 1965, the M-65 was a staple of our brave men fighting in Southeast Asia's temperamental monsoon conditions. Following the war, veterans and civilians wore them for the same reason—it adapts to a range of climate conditions, looks ruggedly handsome and, well, all those pockets come in handy.

How to Wear It

Pick up a classic M-65 and layer it over a hoodie or technical piece. Throw a lighter, shirt-jacket style over a T-shirt and roll up the sleeves or slip it under another jacket.

FYI

Army green pairs particularly well with saturated blues and denim as well as textured trousers in shades of grey. Plus, it gives a masculine edge to patterns and prints.
