Beer Makes You Better In Bed

From Oktoberfest to football season and weekend campouts, fall presents all sorts of reasons to drink beer. And here's one more. Science says it makes you better at sex. While alcohol's long been considered a pathway to a good time, a sex expert has discovered several properties found in beer that make it particularly suited to up your performance. In her new book, "The Married Sex Solution: A Realistic Guide to Saving Your Sex Life," Dr. Kat Van Kirk describes the ways beer helps you in the bedroom and shared some of those reasons with AskMen.

1

Boost
Your Libido

According to Dr. Kat, dark beers such as Guinness can boost a man's libido. The darker the beer, the more iron it contains. And when you have more iron in your system, it increases red blood cells and overall circulation. This leads to longer, more intense erections.

2

Last
Longer

The phytoestrogens in beer are scientifically proven to delay orgasm, which also means they can help delay premature ejaculation. And the longer you last in bed, the happier everyone involved is, right?

3

Increase
Your Stamina

Dr. Kat references research at Italy's Fondazione di Ricerca e Cura, which found beer drinkers have more endurance than their sober counterparts. Men who downed a pint a day were 31 percent less likely to suffer from heart issues, so you've got more cardio capacity to keep going.
