The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit

| | Comments (0)
Question

I only have one gray suit, but I'm interviewing for a job at a firm where I'd be dressing in a suit a lot. Can I wear the same suit for my second job interview or should I just wear some dress pants and a tie? - Damon, Thousand Oaks, CA.

Question
I don't know if it's flannel or not (it doesn't really matter), but you couldn't have a better suit to double up on, Damon. First, a gray suit is the most versatile option you could hanging in your closet. And secondly, gray is the traditional color of business. If you wore it with a white shirt and classic tie on your first interview, try pairing it with a simple striped shirt and a slim knit silk tie. And you can always change your shoes, swapping loafers for lace-ups or vice versa. Of course, if you get the job, you'll have to splurge on a few more options to get you through the week. Good luck.
